In battered cars we travel far

Well, my childhood was the best
I was free as free could be
as my mom made-up our beds
for a while I could be me
But I can’t go back
Yet I can’t stay here
No, I can’t go back
But I can’t stay here

Rode my bicycle so far
but they just don’t understand
that to read, instead of do
is mistreating for a man
But I can’t go back
Yet I can’t stay here
No, I can’t go back
But I can’t stay here

In a battered car
I must travel far

They can’t reach you where you are
but as boys you’d never know
you’d go further than the stars
if they’d ever let you go
But we can’t go back
Yet we can’t stay here
No, we can’t go back
But we can’t stay here

In our battered cars
we must travel far

Studies have proven the classroom setting isn’t the best for anyone – especially boys and men. And drugs don’t help.

Freedom of choice is the only cure for big education, government, business, churches, bullies, etc., and God prescribes it. Or do we let fools ruin more people’s lives? This is another test for us.
