Birth Pains

Mother’s Day is celebrated this year around the time of the seventieth anniversary of the statehood of Israel, on May 14th, 2019, which could be the day that Jesus returns to earth and makes things new, again, because seventy years, like the seventy years of the Babylonian Captivity of Israel, is a biblical number of completion. Jesus said, in Matthew chapter twenty-four, verse thirty-two, “Now learn a parable of the fig tree [Israel] when his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves ye know that summer [the harvesting time, and the end of time] is nigh [near].”

It’s interesting that Mother’s Day is next to this possible event as Easter Sunday, when we celebrate the Son of God, was the day before Earth Day, when we celebrated Mother Earth, the day after Easter Sunday, a couple of weeks ago. But when Jesus returns, and changes his people, in an instant, into their new, incorruptible bodies, he will bring them up to heaven before the end of time, and everything will be made new, again.

At my home, the cat tore down my Vincent Van Gogh print off the wall, and broke the picture frame, so, I took the master’s print out of the broken frame (because the print that was inside of it is much more valuable) and put the print on top of a bookshelf, where it is displayed, and threw the broken frame away.
