Crystal River

I visited a scene
some might call dreaming
Doves on some seats by
the river that we seek

Which has all that we need

The spirit of the low
Childlike, his winners
humbly, might swim in
the river from God’s throne

Crystal river so sweet

Your water’s always clear
Men won’t pollute it
Women won’t ruin
you, river of the free

Crystal river, so deep
Wild friend, though meek
Winding forever through trees
My only friend I need

He’s a hero, she’s a prize
but you’re better than us, all
as you tie it all together
And I’ll sigh for you, forever

You feed me like a tree
birds landing on me
food taken off me
you, river, water me

Shining river, you meet me
Like a winner, you greet me
In the midst of the city
healing water for the people

“His eyes are as the eyes of doves on the rivers of waters, washed with milk, sitting on a setting.” (Song of Solomon 5:12 KJ3 Literal Translation Version)

“And he showed me a pure river of water of life, bright as crystal, coming forth out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.” (Revelation 22:1 KJ3 Literal Translation Version)
