God Is Your Friend

When you stop reaching out to others
and stop looking elsewhere for answers
and stop being so angry
and stop acting so guilty
and stop in your quests
then God is your Friend

When you stop wasting time with worries
and stop being anxious and nervous
and stop looking at problems
and start actually solving
and stop failing tests
then God is your Friend

And David was greatly distressed
for the people said to stone him
For the soul of the people was bitter
each man for his sons and for his daughters
And David made himself strong in Jehovah his God

When you stop counting time on fingers
and stop running out of forgiveness
and stop stubbornly listing
and stop grudges and fixes
and stop with your tests
then God is your Friend
