Having a Good Summer

The best vacation I ever had was in Montauk, Long Island, New York many years ago. I went with my parents in September and there were no noisy children because they were in school and the hotel was right on the beach with the sound of the waves crashing through the windows (which were always opened) twenty-four hours a day. It was so pleasant with the breeze blowing constantly that I wanted to sit in the room and listen, but my parents insisted I go out with them places like the beach and restaurants and shops. I’ve vacationed in Florida, Virginia, the Jersey shore, England, France and the Hamptons but that time, off the beaten trail in far-off Montauk in September, was the best. I’ll never forget it. Thank you, Mom and Dad!

It surprised me this morning that I hadn’t made my weekly blog post. My apologies, but I’ve been very busy.

I hope everyone had a good Labor Day and are enjoying their summers as much as I have!
