Offensive, Foul

Here strides that winner
displaying all his ignorance
God says to sinners
“I hate pride and loftiness”

In Pennsylvania Spring has new life
along with perennials
but there are some terrible weeds

Friends of that hater
admiring his insolence:
All who have wisdom
are wise to keep their distance

So proud’s the hater, proudly, all day
as he complains, narrow’s his way

Back are those haters
as insolent as ever
Jesus hates devils
and kicked them out of Heaven

A crowd of haters, loudly, they play
where life’s a game, narrow’s their way

And insolence is, for ignorants:
pride or haughtiness seen in
contemptuous and overbearing treatment
of others; offensive, disrespectful impudent act
