The Spirit and the Bride

I saw a new heaven and a new earth
and saw the holy city, new Jerusalem
coming down from God, out of heaven
as a bride adorned for her husband

The city’s agreeable
God’s made her that way

Where there was no sorrow and no crying
and there was no more pain or even dying then
“I make all things new,” God was saying
“Write these words, they’re all true and faithful.”

The city’s agreeable
God’s made her that way
for all the obedient
Forever, we’ll reign

And having the glory of the LORD there
her light’s like precious stone, as clear as crystal and
wall’s so strong and great with foundations
In it’s all the praise of the nations

The city’s agreeable
God’s made her that way
for all the obedient
Forever, we’ll reign

The wall was very high

The fearful, and unbelieving
and the abominable, and murderers
and whoremongers, and sorcerers
and idolaters, and all liars
shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire

I saw the pure river of the water
of life proceeding from the throne of God in her
street and on both sides of the river
was the tree of life and God’s with them

The city’s agreeable
God’s made her that way
for all the obedient
Forever, we’ll reign

The Spirit and the bride

Without are dogs, and sorcerers
and whoremongers, and murderers
and idolaters, and whoever loves and makes a lie

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.”
And let him that hears say, “Come,”
And let him that is thirsty come
And whoever will, let him take the water of life
