We Will Be Together

Like fighting in an army’s trenches, side by side with soldiers
we need reliable men and women, people we can count on
While shivering in an evil winter (though my heart’s not frozen)
will we go down to Hell with sinners? Or above, this hour?

We are supernatural
we’re the superpower
The ruin that’s earth
will soon be renewed

Jesus, you have said it
I’ll soon be ready

We can’t see into the future
but I know we’ll be together

The enemy is busy losing, though he doesn’t know it
So full of pride’s conceit and hatred, far from our position
The General gets our attention; every troop gets going
I’m pulled up by my next-door neighbor. Sergeant tells our mission

Your name is Faithful
and True, my Savior
Enabling me
you make me grateful

All the way to heaven
with you, forever

We can’t see into the future
but I know we’ll be together

I’ve been travelling far but goodwill I’ve got
May the good Lord bless you abundantly
In the shadow of the Most High God
I have the sun to keep me company

It’s cold outside and winds are blowing, so, inside it’s cozy
With Sarge nearby we’re probably going; he will lead us, soldiers
It’s hurry up and wait as usual, but I’ve been improving
I never will be flying solo, Sarge keeps by my shoulder

When shots are flying
then Sarge is with us
He leads us into
the soldier’s business

Sergeant, you’re the General
the super-tested

(I’m the super-rested)

We can’t see into the future
but I know we’ll be together
