God’s Perfect Peace

With his visits to their house
his persistence wore her down
Sleep and peace were also robbed
He’s a thief not fearing God

But he’ll repay some fateful day
Some fateful day God will repay

Yes, the end might be here soon
ten of ten or maybe noon
for the dawns of his great sin
All her joys had been short-lived

Lord, you’ve brought her from the pit

How the clouds are washed away
Now no doubts are on her face
All their roars will soon be gone
Walking shores of gold, they’ll bond

She receives his words:
“You will keep in peace, perfect peace
the mind sustained by You”
She believes this verse
He’s redeeming her
He, she needs

She and he will always be
She will be eternally
stayed and trained to watch his eye
They will reign here side by side

She recites the verse
“You will keep in peace, perfect peace
the mind sustained by You”
She’s alive by words
full of light with words
burning bright

Other countries swear and sing
but know nothing, not a thing
None have brothers bearing rings
much less Husband God the Kings

And she prays the verse
“You will keep in peace, perfect peace
the mind sustained by You”
While she states these words
by his patient work
they will reign
