We see examples of things we’re wanting
from other lands that we must be part of
We see them living out things like honor
We’ve got to have them, the things they model
We see them happy, like they’re successful
We see them striving, and getting better
We see their getting, like some things special
We’ve got to study, and learn their lesson
We’ve got our eyeballs, and have these noses
We’ve got our hearts that are often lonely
Believing others, we’re busy loading
to fill our empty misguided focus
Like all in life now, things must be equal
We watch a movie: Is there a sequel?
We watch a trailer: Is there a prequel?
It’s on TV, so, that makes it legal?
The place is breezy, the sun is shining
The trees are swaying, and birds are flying
The bees are working like they’re on fire
The ground’s a rock but the food’s provided
There was a battle, and there were winners
It was real nasty, like this past winter
Then occupation in every city
and every nation, they, all, are with us
The cat is sitting right by his mother
while I am with him just like his mother
Just like this prince, here, completely trusting
I take from sisters, and take from brothers
And from fathers but
mostly taking, little giving
Lots of bargaining
but we’re taking from some strangers
False balances, a perfect stone, and a great counselor…
A gracious woman holds to honor
but terrifying men hold to riches
From Proverbs 11:1, 14 & 16
