Washed on the Shore

Life is super-sweet when God is our Redeemer
We get True Redemption and a taste of Heaven
I have true forgiveness as a former sinner
Jesus died to give us all it takes for winners

On that far-off shore
with our God the Lord

Look at our surroundings, love and hate’s around us
In a world of fishes, we would make additions
But as things get bigger, bigger and then bigger
God cuts with his scissors, nothing can resist him

On that far-off shore
with our God the Lord
washed on the shore

He will have a coal fire
And a fish lying on it
And bread

Lips of a strange woman drip with sugary honey
Clowns go down who wouldn’t value sound instruction
Labor not for foreigners, strength is not for strangers
Ponder wisdom’s warnings, God shows how they’re straying

On that far-off shore
with our God the Lord
washed on the shore

He will have a coal fire
And a fish lying on it
And bread

Will we have breakfast together? I wonder, oh
Have a part of broiled fish
and from a honeycomb
as us, kings, with Jesus sit
as we’re finally with him

On that far-off shore
with our God the Lord
washed on the shore
as our hearts are made pure
